【IT168 资讯】3月29日消息，据国外媒体报道，Java创始人詹姆斯高斯林(James Gosling)周一发表博客文章称，他已经加入了谷歌公司。
Through some odd twists in the road over the past year, and a tardis encountered along the way, I find myself starting employment at Google today. One of the toughest things about life is making choices. I had a hard time saying "no" to a bunch of other excellent possibilities. I find it odd that this time I'm taking the road more travelled by, but it looks like interesting fun with huge leverage. I don't know what I'll be working on. I expect it'll be a bit of everything, seasoned with a large dose of grumpy curmudgeon.高斯林在去年甲骨文收购Sun时离开公司。虽然当时业内并不清楚他离开的真正原因，但据他本人后来对媒体透露的消息称，他选择离开Sun的原因是薪酬太低以及对公司的细节管理不太满意。
高斯林加盟谷歌的时候，甲骨文正在控告谷歌的Android操作系统侵犯了它的Java专利权和版权。甲骨文提出的诉讼及其他一些事情引起了Java社区的高度重视。
Redmonk分析师迈克尔孔蒂(Michael Coté)称，开发员们搞不清甲骨文以后还想怎么去控制Java社区，如果Java改变了长期以来的开源性，很多Java开发员肯定会表示不满。
这样，对于谷歌来说，招募一位象高斯林那样德高望重和资深背景的人才就具有非常重要的意义。孔蒂称：“谷歌已经招募了Java社区里的一些著名智囊和技术领袖，将那些人才招募进来后，谷歌就能在Java社区拥有更大的发言权。”
